Every 80/20 t-slot extrusion has that famous slot. You can buy 80/20 extrusions with slots on all 4 sides, 3 sides, 2 sides, or 1 side (if there is no slots – its not a t-slot!). The shape of the t-slot extrusion offers slots on every size PLUS the design of the shape retains critical weight-bearing strength. The result is a strong bar with mounting slots available along its entire length. Other brands of t-slot extrusions have slightly different shapes. Once you have a slot available to you, all you need to create a connection is a t-nut. T-nuts are strong plates that slide into a slot and provide a threaded hole that a matching bolt can be screwed into.
